The Artist - Movie Review

Much like the films main character, the film is charm personified. Obviously someone's passion piece and that passion spills onto every frame. With some fantastic cinematography and excellent lead performances the film shines.

Although at times the "silent film" style does get in the way of creating a deeper story and characters. While some excellent scenes use the silent film style as an active part of the narrative and the style becomes intrinsic to the way the story is told.

Rating: 8/10
