Blue Ruin - Movie Review

Stripped back and thrillingly raw at times, but also slow and meandering at times too. Due to some well executed scenes and a fantastic performance from Macon Blair, some moments are carved into your mind.

My main issue was the reluctance the film has to delivering the back story that just causes the film to stumble throughout. When the story is delivered it is often done quite awkwardly and with forced dialogue.

With sprinkles of tension and wit the film starts to take off, until its shot down and simply glides to the finish.
